It's our nature...

Work, work, work, work, work, work, work work.... I was so fed up, I took my camera to "WORK" and as soon as I came on my dinner break I shot off to my local park to take a few snaps; you can't beat relaxing with nature on your break but it becomes so hard to reluctantly drag your self back, still it's the thing you have to do...
I know that these are all very simple species of birds and animals but I really enjoy taking out abit of time to spend with our more common wildlife, this is our nature, the things we see almost every day; it is so easy to take them for advantage, forgetting the true beauty and pleasure that can be taken from getting close to these creatures, I hope that you like the pics;
"Grey Squirrel"

"Robin"

"dunnock"

"Great Tit"

"Blue Tit"

"Black Bird, I'm not quite sure what was wrong with this male but I found myself feeling really sorry for it, even thought it was feeding away fine"

Thanks for stopping by, there nothing special but I thoroughly enjoyed taking then,
Thanks always Lee Harrison.

Dinner time trip...

I had an hour to spare on my dinner today so I headed off to my local park in hope of photographing the Gray Squirrels that I know inhabit this area and if patient enough, you will usually get close up views. Thankfully this proved to be the case, within 10 minuets, the first one had appeared but kept its distance in a near by tree,

unlike the second which came bouncing out of a bush and happily sat feeding no more than 3 metres away from me; such a lovely little animal, I know that there not indigenous and they are causing awful problems for our native "Reds" but I'd hate to see them leave.

anyway I hope that you like these pics:-
Whilst I had the opportunity, I took the chance to take a few close up profile shots to see the real beauty of these beautiful animals

Anyway I hope that you like this blog, not bad for an hour. Please feel free to leave any comments, I am always interested to know what you think,

thanks always Lee Harrison.

Not Quite The Owl And The Pussy Cat...

Again I didn't have much time today, so I just spent a couple of hours down at my local lodge in hope of getting close to one of the many Nuthatch living down there, unfortunately they proved to be very uncooperative as they kept flying in for a matter of seconds before flitting off to feed there young in a near by tree, also two pairs of Magpie kept bobbing around and collecting food to take back to there nests, Greater spotted Woodpecker made a nice appearance also around were Collared Doves, Wood pigeons, Jays, Chaffinch, Robin, blackbirds, squirrels and for me the highlight of the day been a lovely pair of male and female bullfinch dropped in twice for a feed, they didn't seem to be taking any food away but we can only hope that they are rearing young somewhere near by.

Magpie

Collared Dove

Nuthatch

When I was there I took a particular interest in a squirrle that happy sat feeding next to each other and kinda made me laugh...

Wood Pigeon

Squirrel

Yesterday I went for a walk down Curlew Lane and came across this odd looking critter, I wondered if anyone could help me I.D. it?

If it help it was large at around 4inchs long.

A kingfisher Sure As Clockwork... BullFinch...

I had a walk down to Mere Sands with my Mum and Dad tonight after we had been told from a trustworthy source that "Every night without doubt, the kingfisher comes to this spot between 5-6pm" fantastic we though another opportunity to photograph this beautiful bird. So we went down and sat there from 5 O'clock till just gone 6 and nothing, a bullfinch made its usual appearance at 5:30 with With Long Tailed tit and Herons dropping in from time to time but defiantly no Kingfisher...
